America has brought us a few very good modern death metal bands in the past few years, The Faceless being the very pinnacle if you ask me. Unfortunatly along with the good comes the bad, the joke worthy, and probably worse, the painfully average. Revocation staddle that often uncomfortable cross between death and thrash, sounding like a below par Lamb of God one minute before shooting off at lightning pace after the likes of Skeletonwitch. I’m just not convinced, and with bands like this coming out of America like it was sinking, I just don’t think they will make much of an impact at all. It’s all too contrived, take the title track for example, how much more LoG can you get? Sorry guys, find your own sound.
