Firstly thank you for the interview! How are you today?

I'm hungry.... but then again i'm always hungry! Mmmmm waffles...

For those not acquainted with September Mourning, could you give us a brief biography?

It's a mashup of metal, pop, industrial and goth with a female front and a very specific look, it's more than meets the eyes or ears for that matter..... the band has been going for about a year now, although the actual project itself started about two years ago.

Why did you choose the name September Mourning?

Because of the nature of the project it seemed appropriate to name it after a lost loved one. I've always had a fascination with death and the emotion that surrounds loss. Maybe because I have lost so much, and have been witness to others losing so much.

Which bands and artists have influenced you in your life? Both professional and personal?

Manson, Slayer, Bowie, NIN, Souixsie and the Banshies, Nirvana, Pixies, Blondie, DEP, Alice Cooper.... I could name so many here. I love a good front person. An idol. In appearance, in voice, in magnetism; someone unforgettable.

M does a lot of modelling, has she ever considered taking it up full time?

I enjoy modeling in the way I do it, which means I get to come up with the concept and put it together, help in the lighting and idea. It becomes a piece of art. If you do it as a full time job you aren't allowed the luxury of making it your own. You have to go where the money is, besides, I'm much better on stage than in front of a lens - I'm a performance artist. I'm 3-D.

You shot an add campaign for the Democratic National Party, are politics important to you in your life?

This country needed change on the political front. Anything i believe in i stand behind 100%. This ad was a way for me to do that. People are more important to me than political jargon.

Do you believe more musicians should use their art for political purposes?

A lot do. Art is an expression of what we carry inside of us all. If what that is becomes overwhelmingly viable on a political front then by all means use it on that platform. Just make sure it is something coming from a just and honest place.

With this in mind, what influences your lyrical content?

My lyrics reflect life experience. they reflect emotion, pure and honest.

You just got off a tour with Marilyn Manson, how did you get on that?

We were chosen from a bunch of bands by him and his people and are truly grateful for the experience, especially being unsigned. The music biz game is changing.

What was it like touring with one of the most famous rock stars ever?

Rad. I mean, we just learned so much. Everynite just absorbing as much as we could in all aspects of tour. It broke us in real nice. Manson is incredible to watch, being around him is electric. He was amazing to me, gave me a lot of insight. Gave me some ideas to run with. Awesome dude.

Anything interesting happen back stage? We’ve all read ‘The Long Hard Road out of Hell’!

Yeah there were a few things (laughs) I'm saving them for my autobiography.

Is there anyone else you would love to share the stage with?

Slayer, Trent (NIN) and Manson were my big ones. Checked off one of them this tour. I'd love to go back out with Manson again though.

You are known for having quite a wild and impressive stage show, do you enjoy playing live?

I remember being onstage in SLC, actually I had jumped off and was standing on a barricade and I was screaming in someones face and I took a breath and drank it all in, all the cheers and screams from the audience, all the energy and I remember thinking there isn't anywhere else I'd rather be, performing is it for me above doing anything anywhere.

Any plans to play here in the UK soon?

We'd like to do a tour, maybe some festivals next year....

What’s the best/worst part of being in a band?

The best part is performing. Seeing your words reach thousands and having them respond. The fans are really the best, they make it all worth doing. The worst part is that last day of tour, it's always hard to see it end.

What does the future hold for September Mourning?

Greatness. That's all you are getting for now!

Thank you very much for the interview! Do you have anything you want to say to our readers?

Rawk and Rawr motherfuckers !
