Interviews - Bands

Hey there! Thanks for taking the time to speak to UIUK! So Sundown Sindrome has just recently formed! Can you introduce you and your band and how did the line-up come together?

I met Das Scheit guys in 2005 when we were touring together (To Die For & DS) and we did a second European tour again together in 2006. S.De La Corneille aka Sascha was thinking this name 'Sundown Sindrome' in those days, but we did not talk about this band yet! Then in November 2008 Das Scheit guys came to visit us in Finland and we were drunk and started to plan this band. We were talking that we need some 'crow things' etc. all drunken shit! 'Lets do some rocking and simple dark rock.' They went back home and I sent one of my home demos to Cornielle. The songs were Raving Hearts. S.De La Corneille was thinking maybe we could really start the band! He was asking U.Del Cuervo with us, Cuervo already knew A. Van Crane so... Beginning it was very easy! We decided to record songs at Bazement Studios in Germany and its M. Di Corvo's own place so he was also interested about this band. That's how we came together; now we are all in the Vale Of Crows...

I know To/Die/For just split which is a real shame, what do you hope to acheive with SS that To/Die/For never did?

Grow bigger of course! I know we can do it, and no line-up changes this time.

You recorded the album in Germany, who produced it and how did the recording go?

Markus Teske aka M.Di Corvo is our keyboardist, recorder and producer! He is so professional and it is easy for us to work with him, good studio! Recordings were easy, if there were any problems at least we do now know it. M Di Corvo is a very patient mand and he knows how to handle other rockers.

You're not signed at the moment, are you looking for a label?

Of course we are looking for a label and we're gonna find a good one! Some label who really would be ready to work for us as hell!

Have you got any tours planned?

We have no tours planned yet. At the moment we are composing new material, there has already been promoters asking us a bit but we have to wait a bit.

Do you have any side projects?

Personally I do not have anything else. Sundown Sindrome is all I need at the moment.

When you're not playing with SS, what do you like to do?

I'm just at home, walking next to the river, spending time in our summer place and writing songs. Planning things to Vale Of Crows!

How would you describe your music?

I would say we are dark rock and of course a lot of Gothic influence, melodic, emotional and true! Not any fake shit!

Is there anything else that you'd like to say to our readers?

Check us and join us! There is a place for you too in the Vale Of Crows.
